We are Christian women of all ages at the Marsalis Avenue Church of Christ. Individually, we have been given special gifts and work experiences to glorify God. Collectively, we have used our gifts and work experiences to implement Early Childhood Learning Initiative.
Mission:
To assist parents in a spiritual environment to guide and develop their children's God given potential intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. - Deuteronomy 6:7-8; 11:18-19
Vision:
Programs that strengthen parents, maximize children's individual potential, and encourage a committment to the home, church, school and community.
Goals:
- To create a strong support system for parents to encourage challenge, and teach their children to make wise and healthy choices.
- To design a nurturing intergenerational program to bring grandparents, parents, and children together to share experiences, learn from one another, and grow in a supportive environment.
- To connect the pieces required for personal development to develop a more spiritually healthy inner and outer individual.
- To fulfill the mission set forth in the bible by providing Christian outreach in the community and beyond.
- To empower parents to form partnerships with the schools so that children will be more successful in education.
- To develop and implement programs, activities, and workshops that will promote social and emotional development for parents and their children.
