- I will be present in the life of my children and in the life of those that God has called me to help protect. I am committing to be attentive, involved, and prayerful. I serve as reinforcement to help families that are being attacked by Satan to stand and fight the enemy.
- I will be aware of the threats of the enemy, and work to develop and implement strategies to protect myself and those I love from the attacks of the enemy.
- I am willing and ready to make the necessary sacrifices to defend my family. I will put the need of others ahead of my own selfish desires.
- I will be bold and courageous. I will have the courage to stand on the word of God when it is unpopular, and stand on the promises of God when it seems illogical. I will submit to God and resist the devil so that he will flee. I will not sit idly by while the enemy is attacking those around me. I will have the courage to love others enough to defend them.
I would like to thank all of you who extended invitations to those in your circle of influence to attend our Family and Friends Day. It was a great day of connecting with loved ones. This year’s sermon focused on the connected family as one that is available to God, stands for God and has the favor of God. One of the key points was the role of gatekeepers in the tabernacle and how those duties apply to the family. Gatekeepers keep out what doesn’t belong and welcomes in what does belong. They stand ready to protect that which belongs to God. I was greatly encouraged when one of our guests came to me after the sermon and said, “I accept the challenge to be a gatekeeper!” Will you join us in accepting the challenge to be gatekeeper in your family, in the church and your community?
